Raymer Ridge Road Sign
One day Carol Armour told me that they planned to put up a road sign in the new community in honor of Bob's years of service to Golden Lotus and Song of the Morning. I suggested "Raymer Ridge Road" as a possible name. Carol immediately liked it.
The sign was erected in the spring of 2006. Because of Bob's advancing illness, I thought I'd better take a photo of him with the sign right away. He didn't quite understand what I wanted to do, so it took a little doing to get him to stay put beside the sign. But finally I got the shot.
Bob seemed pleased by the tribute; but it wasn't long before he paid no attention to the sign if I pointed it out to him. I am so glad the sign went up when he still appeared able to understand and appreciate its significance.
